What is the best software for archiving a small art collection?

I have done some research on the list archives, but I am coming up
with software recommendations which are more suitable for museum
collections.

My particular need is for a program suitable for documenting a single
artist's estate consisting of paintings and drawings and some
writings; the program also should have internet capability.

If anyone has any recommendations, thank you for taking the time to
post on list or off.

Sincerely,

Roz Chatt
