MUSEUM DIRECTOR

The Southwestern Michigan College Museum, a museum of local history and
science and technology education, is accepting applications for Museum
Director. The Southwestern Michigan College Museum, which opened its new
facility in 1993, is seeking a dynamic individual with a strong record
in museum administration and the skills needed to operate a small,
state-of-the-art museum committed to community out-reach education
through innovative exhibits, public programs, and publications.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in museum studies,
public history, or related field (Bachelor’s degree required) and a
minimum of two years experience in museum administration as well as
experience in fund raising and audience development. Excellent
communication skills and the ability to work with diverse constituencies
is required.

Salary range- $38,000-43,000
