Amy,

A good place to find information on appliances and kitchen gear are the
Sears catalogues from the period. Several have been republished in facsimile
versions.

Go to downtown Tempe, and check out a store that sells antiques in the
front, and books in the back. I don't remember the name of it, but it is on
the West side of Mill, south of Changing Hands.
