Have you seen the work done at the Puke Ariki Museum? They've got a whole blog dedicated to their scavenger hunt, called the Ruru Revolution, and Nina Simon has even done a piece on it in her blog. They are a little sparse on details, but perhaps you could contact them directly.
Here are the links,

Good luck!

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Examples of museum scavenger hunts

Hello,

Could anyone share examples of successful scavenger hunts at museums? Documentation of how the hunt was structured and what the payoffs were would be very helpful.

Thanks very much, in advance!
