Our local airport (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) has two display cases directly
behind the information counter that are available for cultural, historic,
and educational exhibits on a rotating schedule, free of charge to the
exhibitor.  The idea is to "provide opportunities to promote Eastern Iowa
at no exhibit cost to the exhibitor (other than materials)" and is the
result of an agreement between the airport director and the local
Convention and Visitors Bureau.  The information center staff handle
questions from the public and the cases are adjacent to a large display of
brochure boxes holding information about myriad local attractions
(including us).  Local cultural and arts groups take turns, every 3 months,
filling the display cases.  You can make it as simple or elaborate as you
like, within the parameters of the cases.  We have done this twice since
1993 and the results were very good.  It's a win-win situation.
