Chris, there's no need to lurk. Nor is there any need to get snippy, as some
politicians might say. My opinion does not rule supreme, nor did I ever say
it did. Since when does stating one's opinion imply that it overrules
someone else's? You can question, debate, or ridicule my opinions to your
heart's content and I'd have no cause to complain, because they'd just be
your opinions. I was simply objecting to your misunderstanding or
misstatement of my opinions, then trying to restate mine more clearly so they
would be understood. I apologize if I made the restatement too forcefully,
and I apologize for the tone of my post (the crack about subtlety, for
example, obviously crossed a line; perhaps I should have appended a
happy-face emoticon, which as I understand it, is supposed to deflate
objections).

I disagree with your opinion, but that's just my opinion. It's in no way
more valuable than yours. I wasn't objecting to your questioning my alleged
wisdom, I was trying to correct an inaccurate representation of my opinion.
