Speaking as someone who spent a healthy part of twenty years dealing with
requests for the authentication of old fiddles, I'm afraid that I'd have
to disagree with this advice. There are no firms which a priori possess
the requisite expertise. The experts are all individuals and the only
certificates which mean anything are issued by individuals.
