Good for you Deb!

Huzzah!!

If you are charging the public fees for a reenactment or living history event
- you should pay or compensate your "volunteers" who do "impressions" (not
"impersonations" - unless it's the Rich Little Museum in Vegas!).

My own preference is for the term, First Person Interpreter.

I have seen some very positive experiences with reeencators and have
witnessed some very, very ugly ones. You have to be aware that anytime someone in
period clothing speaks to the public that they represent your institution in the
minds of the public - you should get the best people possible for that role and
be as generous as you can be for their talent, knowledge, and hard-work.

Cheers!
Dave
