If you are using a PC, seriously consider a program called "Page Plus" by
Serif, it comes in several complexity levels and can handle most page layout
tasks, including image insertion, leading to nice looking publications.
 There are couple of demo disks that came with my housemates copy, if you
want a copy eMail us directy at [log in to unmask] and I'll mail one to
you.  The full program is under $100 directly from the manufacturer and you
can try it for a couple of months, and if you are not satisfied you can
return it.  For the more complex jobs I fully recommend Pagemaker 5.0 because
of its superb cross's platform features.  I use a Mac and files have
transfereed to PC completely in most cases.
