We opened our "Discovery Room" this spring. I would be happy to share our
experiences to date.

You should also consider the interesting discovery gallery at the Auckland
Museum and the discovery room of the Australian War Memorial in Canberra. The
Australian Museum in Sydney has the best learning resources centre I've ever
seen in a museum. It even includes live specimens of not-so-wee beasties.
