Dear MUSEUM-L'ers,

The Philosophy Religion & Theology Discussion Group will host a
guest presentation & general question/answer session as part of the
American Library Association's midwinter conference, in Washington DC:

DATE: SUNDAY, January 14, 2001
TIME: 2pm--4pm
PLACE: Wyndham Hotel - West Room (near the DC Convention Center)
TITLE: "Finding Philosophy in all the Wrong Places"
SPEAKER: R. Lee Hadden, Reference Librarian, US Geological Survey Library
SUMMARY: Drawing from his experience with a governmental agency
collection of "alternate" earth science materials and having
worked at other types of special libraries, Lee Hadden will
discuss how librarians can field questions about philosophy, if
they are creative and take time to learn the nuances of their
   particular library collections.

PRT-DG will also hold a general question & answer session after Lee's
presentation.

Please mark this in your conference planning calendar and join us for
a dynamic and thought provoking discussion!

We invite you to pass this along to any of your colleagues who
struggle with library resources in Philosophy, Religion or Theology, so
that they can meet other librarians in similar positions & exchanges ideas
in an open forum.

You may also be interested in joining the PRT-LIBN email discussion
group for Philosophy, Religion & Theology librarians:
