I'm currently in the museum studies graduate program at the University of
Nebraska - Lincoln. I did a lot of research before deciding on this program.
The following are some books I consulted:

1. American Association of Museums. Technical Information Service. Guide to
Museum Studies & Training in the United States

2. American Association of Museums. Technical Information Service.
Ritzenthaler, Thomas J.. Museum Studies and Training in the United States
1999-2000 Guide

3. Danilov, Victor J.. Museum Careers and Training : A Professional Guide

I have a Bachelors in museum studies from Baylor University in Waco, TX
(Baylor also has a masters program). The Baylor program is wonderful and
worth a close look if you're willing to go a bit farther south. Good luck!
