The Adler Planetarium & Astronomy Museum is seeking a Distance Learning
Educator to lead and to collaborate with a team of educators in the
application of existing and emerging communication technologies. This team
will deliver Adler educational resources, including exhibits, collections,
school curriculum support and family learning activities, to the broadest
possible audience.  This position will report to the Director of Education.

A Bachelor’s Degree in instructional technology or other closely related
fields of education is required.  Some background in physical sciences and
classroom experience with K-12 students is preferred.  Three to five years
of experience in a distance-learning environment, specifically the design,
development, production and evaluation of instructional components and
experiences delivered via interactive video and other digital
technologies, is required.  This position requires strong organizational
skills, effective oral and written communication skills, and the ability
to work effectively as both a team leader and a team member. 

The salary for this position is commensurate with education and experience.
