Dave,

First off, what is your definition of New England? Boston, Boston Metro, Traditional New England,
or New England + Upstate New York? If its the last, then I would try the Cooperstown program.
Obviously thats one of the best in the nation. The UMass program in Boston has an American Studies
degree. Boston University has a PhD in American Studies, but its tough to get into. They have a
Masters in Historic Preservation though. Northeastern has a masters in public history. I believe
the University of New Hampshire (just an hour up the road) has a masters of history and they have
just started a museum studies division. University of Vermont has a Historic Preservation
Program. Those are the big ones.

Let me know if I can be of more help.
Aaron
