Laura,
Our exhibit gallery experienced a similar problem with dermestids a few
years ago. Once we removed all the objects, the exhibit cases were
wiped down (the wooden surfaces) with a 10% bleach solution. It has
been over two years now and we seem to have gotten control of the
problem. I'm not sure what you can do with the cotton covering; if it
is fabric and can be removed, I would think you could either wash it in
hot water with a non-chorine bleach or freeze it with the objects.

Good luck - I feel your pain!
Angela
