CURATOR/EDUCATOR. SWEDISH AMERICAN MUSEUM CENTER, CHICAGO, ILLINOIS.
The Swedish American Museum Center, located in Andersonville -
Chicago's historically Swedish neighborhood, seeks a full-time
curator/educator. The curator/educator, who reports to the executive
director, is responsible for all aspects of collection management. He
or she will be instrumental in the reinstallation of an expanded
permanent exhibit, and assist the executive director with temporary
exhibitions. The curator/educator will also be responsible for the
development of educational programs and materials for drop-in and
school visits, as well as assisting with the installation of a new
children's exhibit. Qualifications include a M.A. in museum studies or
related field, strong verbal and written communication skills,
computer knowledge, and a minimum of two years museum experience. Must
be self-motivated, creative, and flexible! Knowledge of Swedish
language and culture a plus! By July 15, qualified candidates may
