You might begin by talking with your current volunteers. Why do they
volunteer? What do they like? What don't they like? Do they have friends
who might be interested? Suggestions for places to recruit? If you can
contact some of the volunteers who left, you might ask why. Many volunteers
are looking for a social experience and good word of mouth advertising is
critical. This will be easier to manage if you understand why people
volunteer at your site and the types of experiences they are looking for.
