Chief of Exhibition Design (search re-opened)

The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art has a newly created opportunity for a
full-time Chief of Exhibition Design.  The duties for this position include
the planning and development of designs for permanent and temporary
exhibitions, renovations, and special projects.  Candidate will plan,
implement, and review the general activities of the Design Department,
which include the development of long-range plans, comprising design
programs and timelines for special exhibitions, permanent installations,
and special projects.  Candidate must have eight years' design experience
in a major art museum, strong design skills, CAD program proficiency,
knowledge of exhibition furniture design and construction, strong
communication, management, and organizational skills.  Candidate will
participate in the planning of a potential expansion of exhibition spaces,
