If you think it's a good museum, you will also like the state history museum in
Raleigh, reopened a few years ago in an interesting new building on the site of
the old museum. It has the best orientation gallery and multimedia presentation
I've ever seen, also some of the very best signage I've seen anywhere in the
world. It features a dark cranberry on cream colour scheme, with most
attractive and legible fonts. They also have a very good education program,
emphasizing state-wide outreach.
