After having thrown up(!) a couple of membership-related questions, and
having very little, if any response, I too would like to determine if
such a Membership-L exists.  If not, perhaps we need to network as
individuals.  This would be of benefit to us all, in difficult times
competing for members.  In Australia we have a Federation of Friends of
Museums that link us into the World Federation.  We have annual
meetings, and smaller regional ones on various topics.  The Xth World
Congress has just sent out a flyer promoting the 1999 Meeting in Sydney
(13-18 September).

I often feel in the world of Museum professionals, membership gets
relegated to the too-hard basket.  I would be happy to have a group
where I could discuss issues specific to membership.
