Actually, I heartily disagree with creating a separate list for museum jobs.

1. If you're a recent grad looking for a job, you need to be monitoring the regular content of the list to see what's going on in the museum world anyway. Participation will also make your name recognizable, and that can go a long way when sorting resumes.

2. If you're not looking for a job, it's easy to delete a message unread. I probably delete 70% of the messages on the list without reading them, it's not a major chore.

3. I'm not actively looking for a new job, but if I saw a post for a job in my area of interest, maybe I'd consider it anyway. If you want people who are good for institution, you need to keep in mind sometimes the best person for your job isn't necessarily looking for a new job...
