>(Is anyone aware of any museums dedicated to the Pencil?)

I have visited the following one maintained by a pencil manufacturing
company:

Cumberland Pencil Museum
Southey Works
Greta Bridge
Keswick
Cumbria
CA12 5NG
U.K.

Tel: +44 17687 73626

I don't have a note of a fax number or internet address for them. The
(UK) Museums Yearbook 1997/98 gives the following description:

Collection: Video demonstrating the process of pencil manufacture from
start to finish. Exhibit of the largest pencil in the world, the history
of pencils using exhibits and machinery. Artists' exhibition monthly.

Attendance figures: 89,000 (1995-96)
