Dear Colleagues-

I've been 'lurking' reading the recent debates about degrees and museum
work. My question is this:  I am about to get married and move from the UK
to the US (my fiance is also British but lives and works in LA).  In order
to get to know the museum scene in LA, would you recommend some sort of
volunteer or docent work?

All suggestions/ideas/contacts are most welcome :-))
