Kim, has your father-in-law checked the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome (http://www.oldrhinebeck.org/), in Rhinebeck, NY?

Their collection includes many aircraft of that era.

Some museums in the UK:
Imperial War Museum Duxford (http://duxford.iwm.org.uk/)
The Royal Air Force Museum (http://www.rafmuseum.org.uk/)

In France:
The "Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace" (http://www.museeairespace.fr/le-musee/presentation.html) (there's probably an English-language site)

Best of luck to him!

Fred

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Looking for photos of biplanes from World War II

My father-in-law, an aircraft expert, has written a book on combat biplanes of World War II, but he is having trouble locating photographs of many of the more obscure planes. If you know of any photograph collections that could help him with this project, please contact him directly at [log in to unmask] Thank you!
