The National Faculty is a 30-year-old non-profit organization that develops
multi-year content-based programs for K-12 teachers in collaboration with
leading humanities, arts and science professors from national and regional
colleges and universities.  The Morris Museum of Art, located in Augusta,
Georgia, is a cultural facility which collects, preserves, researches,
exhibits and interprets American works of art focusing upon, but not
limited to, the American South.  An extensive museum educational program,
which includes pre-service and in-service training, curriculum-based
resources, and student programs, emphasizes art as a focal point for
interdisciplinary studies in the classroom.

The National Faculty and the Morris Museum of Art are seeking to fill the
term position of Program Officer for a new in-service program by late July.
 In consultation with museum curators and educators, the Program Officer
will coordinate the in-service program; schedule school-year and summer
sessions; serve as liaison to teachers, district administrators, university
faculty and other key stakeholders; and document and evaluate the program.
The position will be situated at the Morris Museum of Art.

Preference given to persons with academic / administrative experience, a
terminal degree in arts, humanities or social sciences disciplines or
extensive teaching experience.  Knowledge of art museum education,
including experience in developing, implementing and evaluating adult and
/or teacher education programs, and distance education is highly desirable.
 Excellent oral and written communication skills, and interpersonal,
organizational and time management skills are required.  Valid driver's
license is required. Annual salary commensurate with qualifications.   Send
