Although it is often said that instructions to the listserv program
should be sent in messages with blank subject lines, I have never found
this makes any difference. I always put a subject line which is
meaningful to me for my stored copy of the message.

I have sent many messages to listserv, majordomo and mailbase programs,
and they all seem to ignore the subject line. The only important thing
seems to be that the wording of the message content should be correct.
