As an afterthought, the arts education report you want to focus on is the
relatively new "Champions of Change: The Impact of the Arts on Learning."
In short, It shows that arts participation makes a positive difference in
academic achievement, that the longer kids participate in arts education
programs the greater the gap grows in achievement between those that have
the programs and those that don't, and that high arts participation makes a
more significant difference to students from low-income backgrounds than for
high-income students.

Visit the Arts Education Partnership Web site at www.aep-arts.org. It links
to several arts education reports at its homepage which should be the ones
the Creative Coalition mentioned. The American Association of Museums is an
active partner of the AEP, a national coalition, whose purpose is "To
demonstrate and promote the essential role of arts education in enabling all
students to succeed in school, life and work."

I'm interested in getting further information about the Creative
Coalition which lobbied on March 22 to seek an additional $50
million
boost for the NEA. Specifically, I'm looking for the reports that
were
released by the group, proving arts education deserves a place in
America's classrooms. Any information would be greatly appreciated!
