Atlanta has the Center for Puppetry Arts and has maintained a collection of
puppets including Indonesian puppets for many years
(http://www.puppet.org/museum/collection.shtml). You may want to contact
[log in to unmask] who is the museum manager. It is also headquarters
for UNIMA-USA, the American branch of the international puppetry
organization Union International de la Marionnette, the oldest theater
organization in the world.
