Perhaps no one "intended" any "disrespect" to Shelton and Simmons by omitting
their names from the poem, but it's annoying and troubling nevertheless.  At
best, it was careless and thoughtless.  Unless someone actually confesses
that the names were omitted deliberately and with malice aforethought, we'll
never know, will we?  It's too bad that we can't expect everyone to give
credit where credit is due, but with millions of people on the Internet, we
have to expect a certain amount of carelessness, anarchy, and outright
ripoffs.  This is just another example of the risks inherent in posting any
of your creative writing or art to the Internet--it's very easy to lose
control of your work, have others claim it as their own, or at least have
your authorship "accidentally" disconnected from it.
