What level schools are you looking at?  I have heard of distance learning
courses at several Universities, I'm not sure that Museums are involved.  But
you may want to contact a University or College in Iowa as the state is
helping all the Universities get connected with fiber optics (At least that
was my understanding of a talk I heard by the Pres. of my Alma Mater - Clarke
College, in Dubuque).

And in CA at the State Universities, in particular San Jose, Chico and
another whom I have forgotten right now. They have a Delta Distance Learning
Project.  Contact Scott Bell at San Jose State University for more info on
this.
