Ian Wilson, as National Librarian and Archivist of Canada, is the 
first person to hold the joint national responsibility for both 
archives and libraries. He will address the real, apparent, and 
possible convergences of cultural repositories and programmes and 
explore the challenges that face us in the very near future.
