As long as the person is doing their job properly, and not taking the
tip as a bribe I am not sure what the problem is.  If someone feels the
urge to be generous, and give a employee money I think it should be up
to them when to take it and when not to.   Especially in our security
situation, which is mainly students.  They usually do not get paid alot
  in the first place.  Why should a couple of extra bucks in their
pocket be a bad thing.  In all honestly though it rarely comes up, and
is usually when they go the extra mile by helping someone more than
their jobs requires them to.
