The Museum of York County seeks a dynamic and enthusiastic leader with a visiona
ry outlook to
direct current operations and spearhead expansion and possible relocation of an
arts and sciences
museum focusing on the Appalachian Piedmont.

The successful candidate must be a proven fundraiser, have demonstrated skills i
n setting goals
and marshalling the resources of board, staff and community to achieve them; be
an organized
strategic thinker and successful manager of human and financial resources; be wi
lling and able to
engage energetically with government, business, and education communities; artic
ulate and
implement the vision of the museum, and provide the leadership for innovation an
d for the
museum's growth and financial well-being.

Founded in 1949, the Museum of York County has a highly motivated and experience
d staff of 35, is
a county/private partnership with a budget of $1.5 million, a growing endowment
and an ambitious
long-range plan.  Prefer advanced degree and at least 5 years experience in muse
um or other
nonprofit administration or management.  EOE.
