Some institutions refer to exhibit text or labels as a "script."  If that is
the case here, then permit me to make two recommendations:



1)  "Exhibit Labels: An Interpretive Approach" by Beverly Serrell, published
by Alta Vista Press and available through the AAM bookshop (and elsewhere, I
am sure).  No one should be allowed to write for an exhibit until they've
read this book.

2)  NAME, the National Association for Museum Exhibition (a Standing
Professional Committee of the AAM) has put together an information packet --
articles, guidelines, etc. -- on label writing.  Check with our President,
Kristine Hastreiter, at [log in to unmask] for availability.



Both of these sources have some general information on good writing that may
be broadly transferable to audio scripts, if that is indeed your focus.
