Human Resources Associate

The mission of The Tech Museum of Innovation is to serve as an educational
resource that engages people of all ages and backgrounds in exploring and
experiencing technologies affecting their lives, and to inspire young
people to become innovators in developing technologies of the future.

Job Summary
The Human Resources Associate is responsible for the smooth operation and
administration of employee benefits and payroll programs.  Primary emphasis
is on providing accurate and courteous information to employees while
maintaining accurate records and files.  The Human Resources Associate is a
full-time, exempt position reporting to the Manager of Human Resources & MIS.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
· Respond to employee inquiries, policy interpretation and employment
issues promptly and positively while ensuring confidentiality in handling
information; respond to employment verification inquiries and former
employee reference requests.
· Administer benefits programs in conjunction with the Manager of Human
Resources & MIS including explaining benefits package/options to new
employees; assisting employees with enrollment changes, questions, and
issues concerning all benefits options including health, dental and vision
insurance and flex spending account; issuing COBRA notifications; producing
reports regarding enrollment status; record keeping.
· Process and maintain all phases of payroll using ADP Payroll.
· Respond to employee questions concerning payroll; produce payroll reports.
· Administer Worker’s Compensation and Unemployment Compensation programs.
· Establish and maintain record keeping of employees performance
evaluations schedule.  Assist supervisors and managers with the evaluation
process. 
· Set-up and maintain payroll and employee files including processing
information concerning hire and placement, transfers, terminations, and
performance reviews.
· Provide administrative duties relating to the recruitment process
including resume received responses, applicant tracking, scheduling
interviews, preparing and sending letters, responding to applicant inquiries.
· Provide administrative and clerical support including word processing,
data entry, and generation of reports.
· Provide assistance to the Manager of Human Resources and MIS as needed.
· Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
· Work as Museum Manager or Assistant Manager on assigned weekend days and
holiday.

Requirements:
· Two-three years Human Resources experience including ADP payroll and
benefits administration.
· Strong administrative, clerical and PC skills.
· Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills.
· Detail oriented, good follow through, self starter, team player.
· Friendly, positive attitude.
