The Burpee Museum of Natural History in Rockford, Illinois seeks an
Executive Director.  The Director is responsible for the comprehensive
leadership and management of the museum. The Director oversees the
collections, exhibits, programs and all operations of the museum, as well
as leads the administrative management of the entire organization.
Responsibilities will include evaluating where the organization stands
today and leading the creation and implementation of a vision for the
future.

The successful candidate will have museum management experience, preferably
as an executive director.  A Master of Science degree in one of the natural
or cultural sciences, or equivalent is required.   Additionally, the
candidate will have demonstrated leadership, general management, financial
management and community relations skills.  Experience within a natural
history museum, and the non-profit sector is highly desirable.

Salary is competitive, based partly, by the candidate's level of
experience. A comprehensive benefits package is included.  Relocation
