Friends,

I am assisting with the interior restoration of a 1907
historic house museum in suburban Chicago, Illinois.
It is a stone Queen Anne built by a prosperous but not
wealthy middle-class business owner. The furnishing
plan in complete and the project now at hand is the
selection of appropriate period (ca. 1907) window,
wall, and floor coverings. As usual, we don’t have a
lot of money so we will not be doing much, if any,
custom work. I have begun gathering potential
sources for this type of material starting with those
I with which I am familiar. I have some information
but would like to expand my search.

My request—do any of you have any sources for these
materials you would like to share? Any names,
address, telephone numbers, web sites, etc. or
suppliers/sources that you would be willing to share?
Any historic houses of the period that you think would
be helpful for me to contact? The museum-l archive
was silent on this subject. All help will be most
appreciated.

TIA,

Linda
