Sr. Technical Analyst for Digital Asset Management

The Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of the world's finest museums, seeks a Sr. Technical Analyst for Digital Asset Management in the Information Systems & Technology Department.    This person will be deeply involved in the implementation of the Met Images project and play a key role in any initiative that involves the management of digitized assets at the Museum, including database design, reporting, digitization procedures and cataloguing interface design.  

Primary responsibilities include serving as a primary technical liaison to software vendors, implementers and consultants as well as working with the user community to resolve day-to-day functional issues; evaluate file-processing errors; diagnose database and application issues; work with the Database Administrator to specify and execute data migration/ synchronization/ update tasks between various Museum data repositories; review, analyze and evaluate business systems and user needs; maintain and install application upgrades and fixes; provide technical support and administer development environment for digital asset management systems. 

Successful candidates will have 3 to 5 years experience in IT analysis; demonstrate skill with PC-based, client-server systems and architectures; experience with end user support and service; knowledge of digitization processes including digital image capture, scanning, manipulation of metadata and cataloguing of digital files; strong Communication skills; MS SQL and Crystal Reports.  Experience with technical implementation and maintenance of digital asset management systems (especially Intervowen MediaBin) is preferred, as well as MS Project and MS Sharepoint.  Candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
