Hide/Seek Museums, Ethics and the Press

The Institute of Museum Ethics at Seton Hall University in partnership with the Institute of Ethical Leadership at Rutgers Business School Announce:  A public conversations about current ethical challenges in the field. 

We will examine the controversy surrounding the recent National Portrait Gallery exhibition "Hide/Seek: Difference and Desire in American Portraiture," highlighting the ethical issues involved, discussing the role of the media (print and electronic) in this controversy and in other instances where museums’ ethical practices are interrogated, and exploring related issues including artists’ rights
