You might try the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences in
Beverly Hills; UCLA Library has a major motion picture section; and
I believe that a new Motion Picture museum has opened in Hollywood.
 The Academy may at least be able to guide further research efforts.
 Also, the Pacific Film archive at UC Berkeley's museum and perhaps
also MoMA, NY may have resources.  Best of luck with your quest.
