Dear Colleagues,

Today we heard that there had been a significant
fire at the Cal Academy.
What we heard was that it started in the bookstore
and two major exhibit
halls had been lost. Haven't heard anything about
the collections.

Has anyone heard about this? Is it true or just a
misinformed rumor? If it
is true, and if there is anyone from Cal Academy
on the list, is there
anything we can do to help?
