The Smithsonian Early Enrichment Center is currently registering
participants for "Learning Through Objects: Museums and Young Children"
offered on February 3rd and 4th. This two day seminar, held at the
Smithsonian Institution, will demonstrate how museum objects and art works
can help children learn about themselves and the world around them. SEEC is
proud to offer our innovative seminar for docents, early childhood
educators, and museum educators.

A combination of classroom demonstrations and museum experiences is
designed to introduce early childhood educators to the magic of museums and
to help museum educators and docents forge more creative encounters with
young museum-goers. SEEC seminars are highly praised for their unique ideas
and perspectives as well as for hands-on experiences and museum visits.

The $300 cost for the two day seminar includes a catered lunch and seminar
materials. Early registration (before January 1) reduces the cost to $275.
Group discounts may be available for multiple registrants from the same
institution.
