Greetings,
I am curious if its possible to force a museum to
de-accession an artifact. This isnt the same as
repatriation (I don't think anyway). The context is a
historical ship left to rot and decay, some think
purposefully, by the institution.
However, there are those out there who feel that the
restoration of the ship might be more possible if
ownership was actually taken away.
Its a blunt way to put it and nothing is written in
stone. Personally, I would prefer that the
institution take care of it themselves...
