I was reminded by the thread about how to get college and university
students INTO the campus museums that those few secondary schools that have
a museum affiliated with them don't know how to use it either!

I'm not sure how long the following article will remain online for free,
but it tells the sad tale of the Peabody Museum on the campus of Phillips
Academy (Andover, MA).

I don't have a solution for the problem (especially since the problem has
been framed as the need for $6 million to $10 million!), but all of us who
care about museums should take note:
