DIRECTOR OF ART PROGRAMS

The Museum of Art/Tallahassee, housed in the same facility as the Odyssey
Science Center, seeks a dynamic museum professional.  The position is
responsible to the Executive Director for the organization, development, and
implementation of all art activities at the Museum of Art/Tallahassee,
including exhibitions, education, and outreach.  Budgeting and long-range
planning skills essential.  Experience in supervision a must.  Working
closely with the curator, plays a lead role in selecting and developing
exhibitions.  Conceptualizes education programs; establishes approaches and
formats for target audiences; coordinates partnerships and/or collaborative
efforts with schools and colleges; trains or oversees training of docents;
delivers art education tours and presentations both on-site and off-site;
and administers internships and work-study programs.  Must work closely with
the Executive Director as part of the museum's management team.  At least
three years museum or management experience and M.A. in art education, art
history, or related studies required.  Submit resume and list of references
