Greetings from cold(brr!) central Illinois...... and please forgive any
cross-postings......

I am posting this for a colleague. Our museum is updating its policy on
photographing visitors (or program participants) and then using these
photographs in our publications (paper and electronic).

It would be helpful for us to know how other institutions handle this. Do
you use release forms? Do you avoid the issue entirely by staging photos
with staff children? For programs where there is registration, do you
include something (a check-off box) regarding permission to photograph in
your program registration form?

Any policy models, sample release forms, and ideas would be greatly
appreciated.

Please reply to the list.

Thanks!

Beth
