Dear Museum Colleagues: I am a doctoral candidate at the University of
Illinois at Chicago conducting an inquiry into the experiences of museum
workers. In particular I am interested in the experiences and perceptions
of museum workers of color and of other non-dominant social groups
including sexual and language minorities, the disabled, and indigenous
peoples, especially those who have worked in dominant culture museums.

To gather a wide range of stories I've developed a website with more
information about this project, some provocative images, and a short
survey. Please take a few minutes to visit the site and to forward this
email to other museum-related listservs and colleagues. In addition, please
pass this message along to email lists of museum employees, if that is
possible. The URL for the site is http://www.museumworkers.org. Just
double-click on the blue URL.

I can be contacted at <[log in to unmask]>. Thank you, Therese Quinn
