Christie,

I would be very leery of accessioning a 'work-study' collection.  If these
items are going to be used for hands-on objects they will deteriorate very
quickly and then need to be de-accessioned.  Although most museums have a
written policy on de-accessioning items, it usually proves very difficult
and costly in terms of time to de-accession even one item.

I would suggest that 'work-study' collections be inventoried as supplies so
that you can keep track of what you have, and not accessioned as collection
material.
