Chief Preparator
 The Museum of the New South, a dynamic history museum considering the
Charlotte area’s past since the Civil-War, seeks a highly motivated and
creative individual for the position of chief preparator. Responsibilities
include supervising storage, shipping, and handling of artifacts, as well
as overseeing construction, installation, and de-installation of permanent
collection and special exhibitions. Qualified candidate will have project
management background and museum experience. Must have B.A. degree or
equivalent certification; demonstrated drafting skills, including knowledge
of computer systems; and extensive design and fabrication skills. Ability
to work effectively as a member of a team is essential. The position
reports directly to the director of exhibits. Send letter of interest,
