Job Title: Copy writer and production manager

Skills, knowledge, abilities required:
This position requires excellent verbal and writing skills. Work includes
research, interviews, and editorial planning for member
newsletter/magazine; writing, editing, fact checking and proofreading of
member magazine and other general information items prepared for the
public. Must have experience in magazine production. Must be familiar
with all phases of print production, from design through comps,
mechanicals, film, color separations, printing and binding. Must be
knowledgeable in desktop publishing and prepress production. Requires
current knowledge of all aspects of electronic prepress and print
production in both Macintosh and Windows formats. Requires management of
all phases of printing projects, including cost estimates, budgets, cost
control, quality control and delivery schedules. Also must work with
photographers, assisting at times in supervising their work for a
special project and in maintaining files of images for future use.
